Dear Parent/Carer
The countdown to Christmas has started with the opening of Advent calendars and the decoration of our school hall. Every year each class hang wonderful decorations from a hoop in our main hall. I am always amazed by the very creative ideas and designs. Our Christmas Tree arrives on Monday too!
Today’s visit to the Lyceum to watch a fantastic production of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ was a great success. Huge thanks to our local police who helped us cross the many busy junctions at the West End. (Apologies to anyone who was held up in the traffic because of us!)
We are looking forward to the Music School pupils annual Christmas Recital on Wednesday. We had a fantastic musical welcome into school on Wednesday morning for St Andrew’s Day. The Fiddle Group, Drummer and Samba Band had us skipping up the stairs to class. Thank you all!
Another busy week ahead with P6 performances of ‘Oliver,’ Ms Broadley’s Parent-Teacher consultations, P7’s Café Project, Christmas Lunch, Flora’s Forums and the choir singing at assembly. It certainly is beginning to feel a lot like Christmas.
Have a lovely weekend.
Best wishes
Irene Brennan
