Flora’s Flyer for Friday 29 October 2106

Dear Parent/Carer

As we move into the final two months of 2016, we are busy planning and organising a wide range of exciting learning opportunities throughout the school. Look out for further information on STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) week – 21 to 25 November; our next round of Flora’s Forums; class assemblies and of course our Nativities, Christmas Assembly and Music School Recital to mention just a few! Look out for individual class newsletters going out this week by Parentmail for more information on each stage in the school.

Thank you for your Christmas card orders which have arrived and will be distributed this week. Proceeds go towards the Parent Council Fundraising to support the learning and teaching in school. The next Parent Council Meeting is on Monday 21 November at 7pm in the Music School. All welcome. Thank you to all who supported the delicious Bake Sale and for the wonderful donations for Syria. Look out for information on an upcoming Movie Night organised by the Parent Council for the 12 November.

Open Day. Do you have a child ready to start school in August 2017? If so, we warmly invite you to come along on Wednesday the 2nd November to see what goes on at Flora Stevenson Primary School. There are five tours throughout the day at 09.15, 09.45, 11.05, 13.35 and 14.15. We look forward to seeing you!

Were you unable to attend the camp meeting? An extra meeting about our Residential Experience for parents and carers of children in our P6 classes will be held on Monday 31st October at 6pm in the Music School.

The Music School will hold their Open Day on Saturday 5th November in the Music School at Broughton High School. Come along between 11.00 and 14.00 to find out what the Music School offers.

Individual/sibling photographs of your child/children will be taken on Wednesday 9th November.
