Dalguise House. Camp HQ |
Welcome to this week’s Flyer. Primary One finished their second full week at school with a joint Teddy Bears’ Picnic. Great fun was had by all! The final class visits to the Edinburgh International Book Festival this week were a huge success and we were delighted to welcome author, David McPhail into school to enthral our Primary Twos and Threes! Thank you, David. The Primary Orchestra played beautifully on Friday afternoon at the Broughton High School Concert. Well done to all our pupils who participated.
Primary Seven are busily packing their suitcases this weekend in preparation for their week-long trip to Dalguise Outdoor Centre. Follow their week on Twitter @florasprimary to see the amazing activities planned for them. Have a wonderful time! Several members of staff are accompanying the children and we are pleased to welcome supply staff to Flora’s to teach those classes.
Good Luck to four of our Primary Six boys who are participating in Football Trials on Tuesday.
We look forward to welcoming Primary One Parents and Carers to school this Tuesday evening to meet the teachers and find out about the curriculum in Primary One. Our Curriculum Evening/Meet the Teacher event for P2 to P7 parents and carers takes place on the following Tuesday 13th at 6pm.
Dates for your diary: The school is closed for the Monday Holiday on 19th September. The Parent Council AGM takes place on Monday 3rd October at 7pm in the dining hall. Parent/Teacher Consultations are planned for Wednesday 12th and Thursday 13th October.
Best wishes
Irene Brennan
