Flora's Flyer for the 26th August 2016

Dear Parent/Carer

What a super start to the new session with children settling into the new school year very well indeed. We have enjoyed several wonderful visits to the Edinburgh International Book Festival, with more classes visiting next week. Our Primary one children have enjoyed their first full week and I’m not sure who is more tired; the children or staff!

We have several children with severe allergies and for this reason, we would be very grateful if you could bear this in mind when sending in snacks for break time and in packed lunchboxes. With this in mind we would kindly ask you not to send in sweets, cakes or treats to share with the class on birthdays. Thank you for your support.

Ben and Lewis from P7 represented our school at our Cluster Learning Council Event at Stockbridge Primary. The boys worked with children from Stockbridge, Ferryhill and Granton, sharing ideas and sending their thoughts about Global Goals to our local councillors.

Some of our Music School Pupils will be performing in the rescheduled Broughton High School Concert next Friday at BHS and will be busy rehearsing next week.

Our Primary Seven pupils are wonderful ambassadors for our school, setting a great example to the rest of the school. They are looking forward immensely to their trip to Dalguise Outdoor Centre for the week beginning the 5th September. Follow their adventures on Twitter @florasprimary
