Flora's Flyer for the week ending 5th February 2016

Dear Parent/Carer

One week to go before the mid-term break. This Friday is the next Fundraising Bake Sale organised by the Parent Council to continue to improve the school playground. It is the turn of P3 and P4 to send in some home-baking and we hope that the rest of the school will support this venture by buying up all the goodies!

The Ceilidh raised a magnificent £950 and the last Bake Sale raised £300+
A great contribution towards the new developments for the playground. Thank you all.

Please see information below from NHS Lothian.

Following the problems with keeping St John’s children’s ward open overnight during the summer; NHS Lothian has invited the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health (RCPCH) to conduct a review of children’s hospital services at St John’s and the Royal Hospital for Sick Children to identify a sustainable way forward. More details about the review team and process are on our website.

The Review team is visiting the area during January and February and wants to hear from users and key stakeholders. There are a number of ways for people to share their views and experiences, including:

- An online survey

- A series of focus groups with members of the public and key stakeholders on 10-11 February (people can sign up for these at the end of the survey, or by making direct contact with the team, details below)

- Direct contact via post or email (details below)

The team are keen to hear views from as many people as possible.
