Flora’s Flyer for Monday 7 December 2015

Dear Parent/Carer
We hope you had an enjoyable weekend. This is turning out to be a very wet start to December!
Many congratulations to our Music School Pupils for their amazing recital last Wednesday. You have all clearly worked extremely hard. Very well done indeed!
The hall is looking fantastic. Each child in school has contributed towards a beautiful Christmas Hoop. The hoops look fantastic. Thank you to all staff and pupils. The Christmas tree is due to arrive today.
A reminder that Friday is our Hi-vis Assembly. The Junior Road Safety Officers are promoting the message, ‘Be Safe, Be Seen.’ They would like everyone to come to school on Friday 11 December as bright as possible – fluorescent bands, flashing lights, hi-vis jackets etc. We will then have our ‘Hi-vis’ Assembly.
We would be delighted if you could vote for Maddy as mentioned in last week’s Flyer. The voting closes this Friday 11 December. Thank you!

P6 parents have been invite into school this evening at 7pm to hear all about the P7 trip to Dalguise Outdoor Centre.
It was lovely to see so many children at my tea party. The Head Teacher’s Awards were presented at assembly to:
P1 Lena, Matthew, Elodie, Lionel, Elise, Robbie, Emily and Ben.
P2 Rory, Charlie, Erin, Alex, Oliver and Adam
P3 Harris, Poppy, and Charlie
P4 Louis and Louanne
P5 Jamie, Leon and Jess
P6 Hal and Tiffany
P7 Misty, Given and Marika

Thank you to Alicia for playing the piano so beautifully at assembly and also to all three Primary 4 classes who demonstrated their hard work learning to play the ukulele. Many thanks to Ms Neilson and Mr Furness for introducing P4 and P5 to the ukulele over the last 10 weeks.
Watch this space. The Parent Council are busy organising an after school ukulele club.
