Dear Parent/Carer
The Christmas countdown has well and truly started! We are looking forward to sharing our nativities with you. The Nursery, P1s and the P2s have worked very hard indeed and are very excited and keen to share their hard work with you. The singing is lovely. Well done and thank you to all involved.
We look forward to our end of term assembly on Tuesday 22 December at 9.30 in St Stephen’s Church. This year P3 to P7 warmly invite parents and carers to join them.
Misty, Isla and Sabrina all from P7 developed the concept of a cafe called Shake and Cake as part of their project work in class. Groups of children from P7 put together ideas and presented them to a panel of judges. Shake and Cake was voted as the best concept and as a reward the girls got to make their idea a reality last Friday. Parents and carers came to the cafe which was based in the dining hall. They purchases cakes, shakes, coffee and tea from the very capable cafe staff. The takings for the event were £256.80.
The Parent Council are continuing to fundraise for the playground and on Friday they are holding the first of their Bake Sales. Please see below for a message from the Fundraising Group.
Wow, the children looked fantastic on Friday dressed in their high visibility gear! Thank you to the Junior Road Safety Officers and Ms Cook for organising a great event. Please continue to park away from the school. Waitrose is the best option to keep all our children safe. Thank you.
It was lovely to see so many children at my tea party. The Head Teacher’s Awards were presented at assembly to:
Elian for an amazing piece on the drums.
P1 Yutso, Mihika, Aaron, Thora, Sinan, Maya and Violet
P2 Catherine, Archie and Alex
P3 Oliver, Luke and Renuka
P4 George, Amelia, Alice and Callum
P5 Joel and Josh
P6 Keivaughan, Ben and Charlie
Well done to you all.
Best wishes
Irene Brennan

Dear Parent/Carer,
After the huge success of our bake sale last year, we have decided to spread the love (and the sugar rush) between three bake sales. Each class year will be asked to bake for one of the sales, but we hope you will all come along and support us for all of them. Our first bake sale is coming right up, before the winter holiday. Please see the list of dates below for details.
New this year: Free-From Table. To be as inclusive as we can, we will have a separate "free-from" table for children and carers with allergies. If you can contribute to this table, please include a detailed list of ingredients.
We hope you will join us and support your Parent Council!
Friday 18 December, 11:30-12:45 (P1 and P2 will do the baking)
Friday 12 February, 11:30-12:45 (P3 and P4 will do the baking)
Friday 18 March, 11:30-12:45 (P5-P7 will do the baking)
Happy holidays from the Parent Council Fundraising Team!
