Dear Parent/Carer
It’s hard to believe
that we are nearly at the end of October. What super fun we had today in our
fancy dress outfits. What creative and imaginative costumes. Thank you all. We
will use the donations towards the playground development fund. Thank you.
Another busy week.
Thank you to the volunteers from the Bank of Scotland who spent the morning in
both the school and nursery organising resources and gardening. What a super
help. Many thanks indeed!
Thanks also the dance teacher, Miriam Jame-Griffiths
who taught dance to all 20 classes over three days. We had amazing fun and
discovered some new moves!
Thanks are due to the many parents who came to share
their work lives with our Primary 3 classes for their topic on ‘The World of
Work.’ One parent even brought a Fire Engine along!
What else?
Sandi from
Edinburgh Zoo came along to tell P6 all about pandas, the SSPCA Animal 999
spoke to all our P4 classes and the P7 classes visited the Scottish Parliament.
We finished up the week with our super costumes and all three P5 classes
playing their ukuleles at assembly after five lessons with the ukulele
instructors. A super performance! We sang in French, in rounds and finished by
playing the Black Eyed Peas song, ‘I’ve got a Feeling.’ Well done to everyone!

We would like to
remind everyone that several children in school have severe nut
allergies. We would be very grateful if you could bear this in mind when
sending snacks into school and avoid sending in any nuts. Many thanks indeed.
