Flora’s Flyer for 11 September 2015
Dear Parent/Carer
Primary 7 returned from their trip to Dalguise today, exhausted but exhilarated by their fantastic week. Many thanks indeed to all staff who accompanied them on their trip.
The playground continues to take shape. This coming week some tarmac will be laid. This means that the path to the Nursery and playground at the back may change. Other areas of the playground will also be blocked off for a day or two over the next few weeks. Please look out for signs directing you to new temporary routes. Thank you.
Partnerships with Parents
It was fantastic to see so many parents and carers attend our P1 Curriculum Information Evening last Tuesday. Magnetic boards and letters will be distributed to all our Primary One children on Monday to keep at home to help with ‘sharing the learning.’
We look forward to seeing parents and carers of children in P2 to P7 on Tuesday (15 September, 6pm or 6.30pm) to share our plans for this session with you at our second Curriculum Information Evening this session.
This week’s Head Teacher’s Awards go to:
P1 Jamie, Weronica, Ben, Sophie, Tommy, Abigail, Ariv, Finlay and Gabriel
P2 Iris, Aarav, Keera, Cameron, Ben and Matilda
P3 Donald and Scarlett,
P4 Emma, Jamie and Sonny
P5 Isla, Naimh and Sophia
P6 Barclay, Fabio and Gabe
P7 were at Dalguise this week.
The winning house this week is Raeburn. Well done to all!
One of our parents, Alison Dobbie-Fraser is donating 10% of her proceeds from Alison’s Celebration Cakes to Flora’s during the month of September. Contact Alison.dobbiefraser@sky.com Many thanks indeed!
We are delighted with our newly painted railings and so are the residents of Carlyle Court who also had their railings painted recently. However, some parents/carers are chaining scooters and bicycles to the railings of Carlyle Court. We would be very grateful if you could refrain from doing so. There are bicycle racks at the rear of the school playground. Thank you. Hopefully, we will also have our new bike racks installed near the front gate soon.
Have a great weekend
Best wishes
Irene Brennan
