Harvest Assembly Table

Another very busy week at Flora’s!
We enjoyed meeting with you this week to discuss your child’s progress. Thank you too for supporting our Book Fair. We receive commission from Scholastic Book Fairs which we use to purchase books for our library and classrooms. Special thanks to Mrs McTaggart and her wonderful Primary 7 helpers who ensured that the Book Fair ran smoothly.
We are delighted to have received more benches from the Royal Botanical Gardens. The benches are a very welcome addition to our playground and we are very grateful to Mr Solomon’s for both donating and delivering them to us.
This week a willing group of volunteers from Lloyds/TSB and parents did a magnificent job of improving the outdoor play resources in our nursery garden. The bark area and mirrors in particular, look fantastic. Thank you very much indeed.
Thank you to everyone for your kind donations towards our Harvest Assemblies today. The display looked lovely and will be donated to a local Food Bank.
A group of School Inspectors from Europe visited our school on Thursday morning and were very impressed by our hardworking children and staff.

Congratulations to our newly elected House Captains and Vice-Captains from Primary 7:
Learmonth – Christopher W and Jessica
Raeburn – Emily and Joe
Inverleith – Jade and Charlie
Orchard – Katie and Aidan
Congratulations to Jonathan and Christian in Primary 7 who were successful in the recent Football Trials. Congratulations also to Abby and Emily in Primary 7 who successfully auditioned for parts in this year’s pantomime at the King’s Theatre. Well done and good luck to you all.
We hope you have a very enjoyable mid-term break and look forward to seeing everyone back at school on Tuesday 22 October.
